For more than 6 decades, Storm King Art Center has reimagined the traditional museum experience, uniting monumental art, nature, and people across its iconic and breathtaking 500-acre Hudson Valley landscape. With a constantly evolving environment and world-renowned collection, every visit offers something new.

As Storm King prepared to launch its first-ever capital project, the institution’s board recognized an opportunity to deepen engagement beyond its traditional New York City audience. The goal: to cultivate a loyal, regional following – visitors who would return often, advocate passionately, and amplify Storm King’s reach through their own communities.

VOX Maximus created Storm King’s first fully integrated advertising campaign, targeting audiences across Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, and Fairfield counties. Designed around a conservative and results-oriented budget, the campaign blended grassroots, targeted broadcast, and influencer-led media, proving that precision can outperform scale.

The campaign substantially delivered a 16% year-over-year increase across target counties, clearly demonstrating the measurable impact of a hyper-focused, strategically executed approach to both audience growth and institutional performance.
